Welcome to the Technology Guys once again. We will continue to provide tutorials on this website. We are here for technology. This post tells you how to install an application outside of Google Play.
Google Play is the largest library for android application but there are applications you may want to use and you find out that they are not there. This is probably because the producers of those applications are yet to put them on Google Play. I mean there are numerous useful applications out there that are yet to become part of Google Play. Do you want to know how you can install these applications for use on your smartphone?
This article is an answer to that. These applications are third party applications and android smartphones of today are set to default in such a way that they will not install these applications. Nevertheless you can still install them on your smartphone.
Installing for Android 9.0 and 8.0
Step one: Go to settings>apps>notifications>advanced
Step two: Select special app access< install unknown apps
When you select ‘install unknown sources’ you now choose the applications that you intend to give permission for installing from. After you tap this, tap ‘allow from this source’ to enable installing for that very application.
Installing for Android 7.0 Nougat and older versions
In order to install in Android 7.0 Nougat and the older versions, you first permit the smartphone to do that installation.
Step one: Go to settings>security
Mark the box ‘unknown sources and then tap on ‘OK’ and click ‘Trust’.
When you do this you will be able to download in form of APKs outside of Google Play Store. If you are looking for a website for downloading APKs, you can go to apkmirror.com and the APKs here are legal. You can get these APKs by downloading them directly on your smartphone. Go ahead and download the file and open the application. You can do this by going to a folder known as ‘Downloads’ inside the file manager of your phone.
Tap the ‘install’ option. You may download the applications using the browser of your computer and you may transfer these files either wirelessly or with USB and then install it there.
Installation with Dropbox, Google Drive and the rest of cloud services
If you downloaded the APK with another device apart from your smartphone you have to go to the application on that smartphone and then use it a cloud service like Dropbox or Google Drive to upload it. After this it becomes accessible through Dropbox or Drive on your smartphone. You can then open the application through the cloud service and start the installation process.
Many applications are not on Google Play Store but you can still download and install these applications on your smartphone by enabling your smartphone to install them. This article tells you how to do that. Feel free to ask your questions. You can share this post with others and drop your comments.
